open .php file in browser, attempts to download???

hi all

when i run Zend Studio the debugging works fine in ZDE but when i try to run .php files through my browser, the browser attempts to download the file. i can open html file perfectly

is there an issue somewhere with my PHP installation?is the debugger running of its own "engine"?

if anyone can help my rusty brain with this issue it would be highly appreciated.

Zend has its own IDE so what you need to do to open it outside of zend is to setup a server on your computer. This can be done easliy by just downloading apache and php.

then you can open the php files on your computer via
http://localhost/filename.php

with the php file being in your htdocs/ directory under the apache folder
