[Resolved] FF thinks about crit. updates a lot.

Hello all.

Although I don't really expect an answer, I'm curious to see if anyone else is havnig a problem with FireFox showing the red update icon stating that critical updates are available.

I've done the update like 10 times, but FF still thinks it needs to update.

Here's some tech specs:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.7) Gecko/20050414 Firefox/1.0.3

XP Home Ver. 2002 SP 1

Strange that I dont, i am only on 1.0.2, have you restarted Firefox?

Yes, FF installer forces the browser to shutdown during installation and restarts after.

Do you maybe have a zombie mozilla / ff in the background that isn't going away? Check for that, and either kill it (them) or just reboot and see if that fixes it.

(I'm a linux user, so don't ask me how to tell in windows...)

Control + Alt + Del -> Task Manager -> Kill Process. 🙂

It's all good now. I had to completely reinstall FireFox.
