mail() function with qmail

My server has Qmail on it instead of sendmail.

I have a sim link setup between /usr/sbin/sendmail and /var/qmail/bin/sendmail
and I have "/usr/sbin/sendmail -t -1" as the sendmail path in the php.ini.

I configure and make PHP v4.3.11 then tryo to send a mail but just get "Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mail()"

From what I've read this is because configuire canlt fine sendmail but here is no reason I can see why I can't.

Any ideas becouse I'm pulling my hair out.

I got this sussed!

I found a comment on a post about GD telling someone to

rm copnfig.cache
make clean

so I did. did another build and It all works now.

I am a happy man!
