[Resolved] New posts limit. ??

How do I make a new posts limit, like the one in the bottom of the this forum..

Here you can choose to only see posts written today, the last 5 days, the last month and so on...

I have a Date field in my MySql database which is the date the post was created..
It is created with a Now () funktion from a Insert line..

use PHP to create the dates you want to search between then

SELECT * FROM table WHERE date_field BETWEEN 'start_date' AND 'end_date'

there is also a command in MySQL to do an INTERVAL but i can't lay my hand on the syntax right now.

But if I want it to show posts written in the last week.
How do I then get the start_date to be 7 days before current date..

End_date will always be Now(), but if I need posts from the last week, I have to calculate the date 7 days again, before I can set a filter, and how do I do that... ?
