unset $_SESSION

I'm using unset to unregister a session variable. The problem is it's unregistering the variable before it's printed to the page.

Here's the code.

login.php

	$Login = $login->ret($_POST['user'],$_POST['pass']);

	echo $_SESSION['err'];
            //unregister variable after it's printed

Now all this works if I access the file directly.

But If I access the file via include() then the variable is unregistered before it' printed to the page.

Funny how we both ended up in the PHPBuilder and CC forums.

Anyways...

From what I understand, with include your page is read and executed before the output is displayed.

So, even though you tell it to display before you unset it, since include is being used, the page runs (unsetting the variable), then runs again and gives your output.

I read somewhere, dont know where, that using include actually runs your page 3 times before the actual content is sent to the browser.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

to know what's going on just replace the insert line with the code of the file being inserted, that's what php does as well

if unsetting is still above printing the var than you mustn't wonder why you don't see anything 😉
