My intention is to use the IRCG lib to create a php irc webgateway. There are some example scripts for that as well on the webpage.
I tried to install the (quite old) library as described on 3 machines with different linux dist's & php4 versions so far but always the same error while restartung apache:
PHP Warning: Unknown(): Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/lib/php4/ircg4.gamma-22.linux.i586.so' - /usr/lib/php4/ircg4.gamma-22.linux.i586.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0
And I can't really help myself with that. Googled some stuff but that didn't help me. Also tried the "cd /usr/lib && ln -s libc.so libc.so.4" tip on the IRCG FAQ section but that didn't help as well.
Here the config of my test-system:
Linux Fedora Core 1
apache 1.3x
php 4.3.8
