"rarrrrrr" is just a different pirate dialect, I think. In addition to "Yarrr" there is "Arrrrr," "Garrrr," and even the occasional "Harrrrr." All are legitimate pirate utterances.

"rarrrrrrrr...." is not {just} a pirate sound, but it says nice things about your moral code if you weren't thinking what me (and apparently goldbug ?) were. Are we all getting on the bandwagon for this year's April Fools RFC?

Elizabeth's got a good point about IM. Not only too many crazies grabbing her name from PHPBuilder, Amazon.com, wherever, (and then IMming "[A/S/L --- are you alone tonight?]" but now you can get infected with Virii when your "buddies" send you pictures of Sadaam Hussein in prison!! 😃

Maybe we should revisit IRC on freenode....

IRC is a great idea, when we have an event and meet there for a certain occasion (such as a birthday party!). But having it open 24/7 for anyone to wander in doesn't make much sense, IMHO.

If we have a bot keep it open, and control it a bit, then we can probably use it effectively.

I haven't visiting the phpbuilder chat thingy recently... are people still using it?
