What is Microsoft doing now in the web design department?

Could any one compare their current stuff with current php? Thanks!

I had used ASP 5 years ago, and lost track of what Microsoft is up to now and how they are doing after that.

Are they giving up in this field. Their .net stuff seems not doing well.

From what I've seen, starting out with DotNet is pretty much a two-step process:

1. Develop some proficiency in DotNet.
2. Name your salary.
