What changes do I have to make to php.ini file to allow me to send emails via web form? Do I change smtp_port??

PHP.ini file just open the connection to the smtp port to let you use the mail function with PHP.

If you would like to send an email directly from the html form.

You just have to use the mailto attribut.

To use the [man]mail/man function, you need to set 'SMTP' and 'sendmail_from' (on Windows), or 'sendmail_path' (for Unix).

Assuming you're running on Windows, you would need to change 'SMTP' to your SMTP server address.

If you're instead wanting a link to pop up the user's default email program with a message to you, use a 'mailto:' link, i.e.

<a href='mailto:[e-mail]?subject=Hey+there!'>E-mail me</a>
