Hi,

I want to create a library of functions that will be used in a site.

I would like to know if there is any way to make it without needing to use include() or require()?

Reason is :
1. I don't want to put all the functions in the same file, I want them to be reusable for any site.
2. I don't want to write 10 include() at the beginning of each page.

I know that if I am hosting the website myself, I can compile them in the PHP library. But what to do when they are hosted remotely?

How bout instead of '10' includes in every script, you just have 1 include?

Make a 'main.php' script that houses all 10 individual includes.

Now, in all of your scripts, just include main.php

I did think about this solution but I don't know why, it doesn't look to me like a very "efficient" solution... Don't know if you understand what I mean, for me it's like just "fixing" instead of having a real solution... Maybe I'm wrong... In that case, please let me know...

(btw, when I say fixing, it's because I didn't find an equivalent for the french word "Dépanner", which is like fixing with simple solutions instead of really finding a way to resolve the problem, ie. putting scotch tape instead of nails... 🙂)
