Showing images

Hi, I'm new to PHP, and have a new classifieds website. The question is:
What do I do to display an image (like banners or logos) to the sides, down or up of the actual page?? The website does not use the whole screen.
I know about the "href" for HTML, but what do we do for PHP?? What sould be the line I have to insert... etc???

Please, give me a hand on this.

PHP pages process html as long as it is not inside a code block (<? ?>).
Unless you want to call the images dynamically, just add it in html.
