want to install "GD Graphics Library"

Hi,

I am using PHP 4.3.3 with window 2000 Professional IIS.

For a open source programme "Content Management System" i have to installed "GD Graphics Library" on my localhost as this programme on starting tell me that GD Graphics Library is Not Supported.

Can somebody help me to install it?

Windows version of PHP has these libraries already loaded. You just have to permit usage.

Open your php.ini file and scroll down to the extensions area
;Windows Extensions
Then uncomment the extension
extension=php_gd2.dll

Uncommenting is just removing the semi-colon.

Scroll back up a little and set the path to where the extension directory is located.

; Directory in which the loadable extensions (modules) reside.
extension_dir = d:/PHP/extensions/

As my window is installed on D drive also PHP installed on D drive but no "extensions" folder appear in "D:/PHP" also i search on all D Drive for "php_gd2.dll" no file apear.

I make all ur setting above mentioned

extension_dir = "d:/PHP/extensions/"

but this error i got.

It sounds like you downloaded the Windows Installer version of PHP, which does not come with any extensions.

To get the extensions, download this zip and place the "extensions" folder in your 'D:\PHP' folder. Also note that you may need to copy the files in the 'dlls' folder from the zip into 'windows\system32' (on whatever drive you installed Windows). If you aren't sure, copy them anyway, as they won't harm your system if you don't need them.

You can then use the gd2 extension using the change you made.

NOTE: You do not have the latest release of PHP 4. The latest release is PHP 4.3.11 (at the time of this post). Consider upgrading to ensure you haven't missed any bugs/compliancy fixes.
