explode() - help please!

i am trying to create a new page that displays a list of news items - for each item the title and the first 50 words should be shown.

i can explode the story into an array but how do i then put the first 50 array items (words) back together into a string var?

If explode is your choice then explode it to 51 items (see the manual for limiting), then unset the 51st item, then string them all together again.
