PHP Webmail IMAP question

I am coding a page that will tie into an email account to view the messages in the inbox.

I've got it connecting, and working except that the imap_headers fromaddress variable is giving me the name of the sender (i.e. John Doe) instead of the email address ([e-mail]).

This makes writing a reply to function impossible. Any ideas on where I am going wrong?

The headers are formatted as so:

"John Doe" <[e-mail]>

You could always as well use the Return-Path header.
