[Resolved] preg or ereg_replace

I have never mastered regular expressions and still find it difficult to compose one. Can someone help me create on please?

all I want is to take a string like "store/catalog.php" and remove all the "/" and "." and add white-space. Resulting in "store catalog php". It would also be nice to also remove html tags, but I can call the function for that.

I am a regular expression fan, but this sounds like a job for str_replace.
