MySQL spatial en PHP

Hi all,

Im new into MySQL and PHP. I do know a lot about GIS and spatial database though.
Is there any software that uses PHP and MySQLspatial to produce maps on the internet.

There is quite a lot out there using postgis. But Mysql, I haven´t found much

The general question is how to read the data stored in the mysql spatial records and show them (using PHP or so) on my screen as a map.

I don´t know where to start. Any help would be appreciated

Well, I'd think Google® is your best bet, or something similar. Maybe someone here knows about such (there are many experienced programmers that hang around), but we'll have to wait and see, and if you've not searched for it yourself they won't give you the time o' day anyhow.

I can say that I wouldn't start in PHP programming by writing a script to grab GIS data from MySQL and display it interactively; maybe "Hello, World!" and a couple of other things first.

If you can't find it (and you'd probably need to spend some serious time searching), you could practice a while, and, with dedication, get to the point where you could write this in PHP within several weeks/a few months, I'd think; but most of us have way too much to do (in adult life ... I'm just assuming your age) to learn something so quick unless either we have lots of time/luxury or a very urgent need to do such...
