PHP 5 Install

Hello everyone,

I am trying to install and configure PHP 5 properly for too long now. I have gone through dozens of tutorials and asked for an advice in million places, but still just can't get it to work 🙁

Could somebody please explain to me what needs to be done so I can finally start working with PHP 🆒 . I also installed Apache 1.3 and I'm having a little trouble insalling MySQL (can't seem to extract the files to a directory :mad: ).

I copied the php.ini-dist file to a windows directory and the name was automatically changed to php.conf when I renamed it to php.ini. I also copied all the .dll libraries to the system32 directory. What else do I need to do so my PHP is configured correctly?

Before we can bring you any kind of answer, you'd better tell us what's going wrong with your installation.

Do you receive an error message?

When you say "it doesn't work", it doesn't help us to figure out your problem
