is there a way to display your isp using reverse dns
simerler to the way you get your own hostname though
$hostname = gethostbyaddr($_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']);
but instaed of it displaying your hostname it displays your ISP

Its possible. You'd have to look up the domain's IP address and then look up who owns or manages that IP address.
Take a look at the first form I have: http://www.rsbauer.com/webdev.php I'm not sure it'll do what you are looking for, but it works well for my needs. The code is also included on that page.
