I have installed apache2.0.54, php5, mysql4.1 in windows 2000, with no problem..everything runs fine.. But when I add phpbb2 into apache/htdocs, and trying to run it, it gives me this erro: the PHP configuration on your server doesn't support the database type that you chose

I have create a database for it. and user too. I also tried phpbb2-php5, but it still give me the same error..

Anyone know what else do I need to get this thing going?

When do you get this error? Do you get a chance to run the configuration script?

It sounds like the script is trying to use MyISAM when your server only supports InnoDB, or vice versa.

If you are running the configuration script fine, and are getting this error afterwords, try looking for a palce to change the database type from one to the other.

i have reinstall to php4 instead of php5, which is not compatible with phpbb2, so now everything worked!
