Please help...cannot install

This is driving me nuts! I just can't get php to work properly...

I'm using Windows XP SP2. I've dl the PHP5 source and installed it into C:/php. I pointed the path directories to that forlder. I have php.ini in that folder. I created phprc and poited it towards C:/php. I fully instaled IIS on my windows platform.

But when I create a file (like hello.php), and open it, all I get is a blank screen.

Please tell me why...

You downloaded the source? You don't want the source...

How did you install PHP into IIS? The ISAPI .dll filter?

What is the exact contents of the .php script you tried?

Answer these preliminary questions so we can help diagnose the exact problem you're having.

I got the "binaries" from http://www.php.net/downloads.php, PHP 5.0.4 Zip Package.

I have no idea how to install PHP into IIS...I was talking about installing IIS from the Win XP CD onto my system.

The PHP script I was trying was as simple as it gets:

 <head>
  <title>PHP Test</title>
 </head>
 <body>
 <?php echo '<p>Hello World</p>'; ?>
</body>
</html>

Did you read the installation help/readme that comes with PHP?

Take a look at that, and look for a section specifically devoted to installing PHP in IIS. (I used the ISAPI .dll filter, up to you to decide how to install it)

If you STILL can't get it after reading that (please make your best effort - we're all about learning here, not spoonfeeding), let me know what you've done and I'll try to guide you from there.
