Sessions Help?

I can't figure out how to handle sessions between secure and non secure areas of my site.

I know that a session is created secure or non secured (same as Cookies) so how do you keep the same seesion ID between the two

Right i have it setup where when you login your under the secure server and the browsing is done under the secure server once you login. I relize that that is not best way to do it, nut I can't seem to get it any other way.

Any information you can give would be great

if the non-secure and secure areas of your site a served up from two separate physical servers then a session created on one simply will not exist on the other. if this is the case you might want to stick the session data in a database for temporary storage.

if it is all on one server than you will have a tack the session id onto your URL's. PHP can usually do this for you by using the trans_id directive in php.ini but PHP will not do this for different domains.
