[Resolved] Querying 2 fields, but one could be empty?

Hi,

I got a search page where they can search for a username, or a surname, or both.

Now i have the below query, but am wondering what will happen if they dont enter either one of the fields.....will a null value bring everything out of DB or will it bring nothing?

$finduser_query = "SELECT username, firstname, surname FROM users WHERE username LIKE '".$_POST['studentusername']."' OR surname LIKE '".$_POST['studentsurname']."'";

doh simple fix.....

replaced the OR with an AND 🙂
