Mmmm, this new "horror" craze which is coming into gaming is cool. Got to have that futuristic sci-fi edge to it though!

I saw the F.E.A.R. trailer and thought it sounded cool. I love good voice actors in games 😃 they make it so much better.

I played some of Doom 3, loved the whipsering, that was cool as. I played it in the dark and was sh*tting myself... :o I had to stop playing.

Nothing beats the crabs in Half Life while crawling around the air vents... Oh wait... Doom 3 had spiders in the air vents... :o that totally freaked me out when I saw something drop and run around the corner... :bemused:

But... just with games these days. The graphics isn't getting better IMO, the character models are shocking and look unrealistically thin or wide, can't they get it right? Oh well!

My personal scare-your-ass-off favourite game of all time was System Shock 2. Everything about that game was brilliant, the shadowy graphics, creepy sound effects and a need to formulate tactics. Doom 3 didn't even come close to that level of pant-wetting scaredyness 😉

Games like Doom 3 and Half Life give you a huge arsenal of weapony and pit you against a huge army of monsters. SS 2 took a different route and more often than not you are quivering in the shadows with only 2 bullets and a stupid look on your face to aid you.

I'll take a look at the F.E.A.R. demo too, I love scary games 🙂
