Image Expiration Help?

I need help with figuring out a way that I can post two different images on a page and have them go away after a set expiration date (different expiration dates), plus figure out a way that if a newbie wanted to set an expiration date, they could do so without any programming or database to use.

HTTP Headers would probably do the trick, look into using [man]header/man in conjunction with the "Expires" header, explained in: RFC2616 Sec14.21

Other than that, I don't know of any other way.

If the date was coming from a database then an admin page could be set up so a newbie could change the date using a form?
