[Resolved] problems with forms after moving to Win 2003 Server

Hi,

I have a website set-up which features some forms where users submit their contact information. Everything has worked fine. However I just changed the operating system on the web server from Windows 2000 Professional to Windows 2003 Server. (I did not change any of the php configuration files. I am using php version 4.0.6.) Now whenever I try to submit a form I get this error:

Warning: Failed to Connect in C:\nobixweb\whiteJQproc.php on line 5

Warning: Cannot add header information - headers already sent by (output started at C:\nobixweb\whiteJQproc.php:5) in C:\nobixweb\whiteJQproc.php on line 6

Does anyone know what's causing this problem? All the other pages on the site that utilize php are working properly. The only problem I have is with the forms where information needs to be submitted.

Perhaps you could post the contents of whiteJQproc.php for us to look at?

Ok, the first error has to do with the mail() call. Did you make sure the SMTP server settings are correct? Is the machine firewalled so that it can't connect to the SMTP port?

The next error probably has to do with the fact that the mail() call through out an error, which meant HTML output was started. I'm not sure though; if not, you might want to ensure there are no empty lines or spaces before OR after the '<?PHP' and '?>' tags; this will cause HTML to be outputted also.

Thank you, bradgrafelman- you nailed it.

I checked the php.ini file and the SMTP line was referencing the wrong mail server. I fixed that and now the forms are working again. Thanks again!
