Current page highlighting?

Not sure if this is possible, by can you get PHP to use a certain CSS style in a menu when that page is being viewed. I.E. you put a dark background over the link which points to the page that a guest is viewing!

If I have explained it badly (knowing me, I probably have!), please ask me again, and I'll try it explain it in more detail!

Can you change the "/index.php" to something like this:

<?php if($_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] == "index.php?action=test&mode=page1") echo ' id="dark"'; ?>

Or does this PHP code not allow the use of "index.php?action=test&mode=page1"?

Using what you wrote will only echo an id "GET" variable value. It won't give you any kind of class value until you go to another page with that id variable in the link, or refresh the page with the value set.
