[Resolved] Running a PHP IRC bot

Ok, I've written a PHP IRC bot, and want to run it. I know you must run it by using the PHP console, but it doesn't work...

I start the command prompt
D:\EasyPHP\php\php.exe -q
To start the PHP console (I use EasyPHP)
Then I type:
D:\EasyPHP\www\irc bot\irc_bot.php
But then nothing happens..

What's wrong with it?

enter the script in the same line with the path to the php interpreter like this:

D:\EasyPHP\php\php.exe -q D:\EasyPHP\www\irc bot\irc_bot.php

I get this error:
No input file specified

I typed:
D:\EasyPHP\php\php.exe -q D:\EasyPHP\www\irc bot\irc_bot.php

seems like you have that error because of either the php configuration or since its on windows. i have 0 experience with php on windows.

i found this on the phpbuilder mailing list..
"Thanks, but I managed to get it sorted. I had set the doc_root AND used
cgi.force_redirect and only ONE of those should be used. As soon as I put
';' befire doc_root, everything worked."

try changing those values around in the php.ini to see if you can get it working.

But I tried to comment that doc_root with a ; but I got the same error

Does anyone else think the space in the path to the input file might be giving errors? Also, isn't -f the switch to include a file for parsing?

Perhaps try DOS names?

D:\EasyPHP\php\php.exe -f D:\EasyPHP\www\ircbot~1\irc_bot.php

or even using quotes?

D:\EasyPHP\php\php.exe -f "D:\EasyPHP\www\irc bot\irc_bot.php"

or just try your previous command using the 'f' flag?

D:\EasyPHP\php\php.exe -f D:\EasyPHP\www\irc bot\irc_bot.php

D:\EasyPHP\php\php.exe -f "D:\EasyPHP\www\irc bot\irc_bot.php"

Works!

But I can't see the bot in my channel..
