[Resolved] sites without a file extension

Anyone can tell me how websites use a template file
in PHP.

The site from overture have no index file.

Do they reference a template from another location into the page somehow??

I have some examples:

more than likely done with apache's mod_rewrite extension. google should give you plenty of examples.

Actually that article is not about mod rewrite. It's about using ForceType. Similar effect but different technique. I would've described it instead of posting a link but the tutorial does a better job of it than I could have.
