verify serial number

Hey, I'm running a contest on my website. I was wondering if I could get a php mail form with name, email, and a Contest Code. I'd like to print off business cards with the contest codes and people will be able to enter them in the website and have a chance to win a prize. I'd like the codes to be manually put in the database by myself then the form will look into the databbase to see if it's there, if it is it will mail me the name and address and code then delete it from the database. If it doesn't it can just show an error message.

In other words something that verifies serial numbers from a database.

This is very basic. How much php do you know? If you don't know any then just rent a coder for a few hours.

Joel, this is a site for people who PROGRAM in php to ask other PHP programmers for help.

It is not a web site whereby one who does not program in PHP begs others who do program in PHP to do them favors.

OTOH, those who program a little, even badly, in PHP are quite often helped a lot here.

So, if you make even the most rudimentary effort to program such a thing, you can get lots of help.

We'll help you learn to fish, and maybe even bait your hook. We're not sitting here all day holding the rod and reel so we can give you the fish at sundown...
