i am trying to upgrade php version to 5.0.4 but i see this error !!!

I have Mysql version 4.1.11 and now i need to upgrade my php to 5.4.1 , when i upgarde it i saw this :

configure: error: --with-mysql (using bundled libs) can not be used together with --with-mysqli."

is there anyone know what's this error ? and how can config Mysqli or php that i can upgrade?

You mean to upgrade to 5.0.4?

Ok firstly can we see your configure command. With PHP 5 the MySQL Libs are not bundled so you will need to make sure you do this

--with-mysql=/path/to/mysql instead of --with-mysql

same with the mysqli extension except you will need to point to your mysql config file.

--with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql \
--with-mysqli=/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql_config
