[Resolved] Regex gurus needed

Hi folks,

I have the following html data

<TD align="right" valign="TOP" bgcolor="#ececec"><font face="verdana,arial,helvetica" size=2><b>some info A</b></font></TD>
<TD valign="top" BGCOLOR="#efefef">
<A NAME="top"></A>
<font face=verdana,arial,helvetica size=2><B>some info B</B></font><font face=verdana,arial,helvetica size=2><BR><font size=1>some info C</font><BR><font size=1>some info D</font></font><br></TD>

i need to be able to strip all the html and everytime theres text between any html tags that data is added to an array

eg <any html>some text<any html>

i have tried various expressions using preg_match_all but had no luck

preg_match_all("#<.*>(.*)</.*>#isU", $x, $r);

gives me partial results but not quite.

i was able to achieve it by removing certain tags first like (font, br, td) then using the < b > tags as markers but if they decide not to use those tags then it will fail so i really need to do based just on html

I would appreciate any help.

preg_match_all("/<.*?>(.*?)<\/.*?>/s", $html, $matches);

$html = preg_replace("/<.*?>/", "", $html);

print_r($matches);

untested but the first expression should grab everything between tags, and the second will strip all tags.
