how do i get an extra 0 on a float

Hi, this may sound silly but I am discounting a price a price that I have as a float, ie 6.00, im taking 10% off and I get my answer 5.4 however I want it to read 5.40 . How do I get it to say 5.40 without changing type from float, I have tried the round function but this only seems good to round down. All I want is to show 2 number past the decimal point.

Any answers would be a great help
