I have decided to upgrade and install Apache, MySql, PHP and phpMyAdmin. I have found in the past that there can be patches required and sometimes you need to have the right versions for them to talk to each other. I just need the installation to test a few websites that have php scripts in them on my own PC server. Once working then to upload onto my main server using ftp.
Has anyone put a package together with the above programs whereby I can download the bundle and install?
Also what confuses me is there are two types of PHP installs available, the installer and the zip ? both are very much different and I know the zip contains more files and is generally used for working servers or intranets, so which would be best to download ?
Just need to look into the best possible download option that will save me redoing in the future if a particular script does not work or has the built in features to execute the script.
Any ideas or help will be greatly appreciated.
