Content-Type

I was just wondering how you handle creating the right Content-Type header when you don't know exactly what content has been uploaded.

If someone uploads a PDF, but the program could take a text or other format file, when you go to display it is there an automatic way to find the Content-Type from a file?

[man]mime_content_type[/man]; filesize just returns the size of the file.
