Multiple picklist form

I have a html form that passes information onto a process.php form. Everything works great passing on this information to the process.php, which inturn sends the information via email, and also writes the data collected to a flat file. Works Great!

I have decided that the combo boxes I am using should be able to allow users to select more than one option. I have added the Multiple attribute to the two fields and that works fine. The field now shows all available options and allows you to select multiple selections.

Once I have made these changes and test the multiple selections out. Only the first selected index is submitted and processed.

Allow people to choose multiple selections from my picklist and have my php form process it and email and write that data to a flat file.

I just don't know what else to look at which is why I turned to you experts. Very limited php knowledge, but very capable.
I searched the forum for other instances of this type of problem,
but it seems I am unable to find the answer. Thank you in advance for you assistance.

First, change your select to look like this:

<select name="ReferredBy[]" multiple size="9">

This will put the responses in an array that PHP can use. Now in your form processing, you can't just echo an array, you need to iterate over it with a foreach loop. So instead of this:

<?php echo $ReferredBy; ?>

You can do something like this:

<?php
if (sizeof($ReferredBy) > 1) {
  foreach ($ReferredBy as $Referred)
    echo $Referred . ", ";
}
else
  echo $ReferredBy[0];
?>

This will list out the selected options, seperated by commas if there is more than one. If there is only one, it will just print that out (the first element of the array).
