Really simple question (again

I have this statement:

$currentdate = date('Y-m-d H:i:s');

Can someone tell me how to get this but exactly 1 month previous?

So instead of this:

2005-05-25 18:50:50

I want this:

2005-04-25 18:50:50

if you are just going by the current time, you can use
date("Y-m-d H:i:s", strtotime("-1 month"));

if you want to use a past date you can still do the same thing, it will just take an extra variable or two to go back and forth from timestamps to dates.
