Currency Value

Hi all,

What should I set a currency value as? float??

Also I want to be able to make mathematical calculations with thes numbers.
Is it just a case of using * / etc?

Well are these to be stored within the Database? If so you could get by using decimal however if its with PHP you dont need to initialize the variable as a float since variables are extremely flexible.

However if your going to be calculating the results getting them all into a consistent form would not be a bad idea.
