best way to send content to a script you created

Ok, so I'm making a script. I'd like to have the home page of the admin panel fetch news/latest version info from my server. What is the best way to go about something like this? I didn't search for this, because I honestly don't know what to search for. Any suggestions or fingers in the right direction would be awesome. Thanks --Casey

sorry man, The application will be running on the clients server, not mine. And the news I want it to retreive will be on my server. The news I would like to hav ein a MySQL database, but I don't know what I'm looking at as far as server permissions and security problems. So I want a script on the clients server to fetch data from my server 🙂 However, there will be lots of people running this script and I want all of them to be able to access this news at any time.

Oh, for an example of what I want. Not sure if you are familiar with the program, but Word Press does this. The first page of the admin login has news from WP creators about new things going on with WP. Thanks!

I decided RSS would be the best way to do this 🙂 And its actually how wordpress does it. I don't really know much about RSS but I'm learning it as we speak. Thanks everyone. --Casey
