[Resolved] How to I deal with the & sign in php

I am having trouble passing the & sign in the word brookes & baker in my url.

Example:

name.php?name=brookes & baker

It is throwing up an sql error when it is passed to the next page where it queries the my database.

Do you know how we get around this problem with & sign?

I would appreciate some helps and tips.

use [man]urlencode[/man] on that string.
also be sure to use [man]mysql_escape_string[/man] on the data since you are querying directly from the url as to prevent sql injections.
