Hey, i was trying to embedd HTML into my email messages but for some reason it prints in the html code out instead of what it should produce. It isnt the email providers as iv tried with AOL and Hotmail and both are the same so it muct be the php.

$message = "test html
<html><img src=\"http://www.google.co.uk/intl/en_uk/images/logo.gif\" width=\"276\" height=\"110\">";

mail($email, $subject, $message, "From:<mailer@xxxxxxxx.xxx>\nX-Mailer: PHP/" . phpversion());

ok update: now got it working for hotmail but AOLis still echoing the html, you can have images in emails i just cant see how to get round. Spam writers manage to get round AOL so how do you do it guys? Thanx

You need to set the Mail mime type to text/html, example 4 is the one your after http://au3.php.net/manual/en/function.mail.php

Hi,

First I suggest you should read the PHP mail function manual. Find it in php.net with just mail search in function list in your language.

It clearly shows that you need to add this line in your Header

Content-Type: text/html;

Simple

Otherwise your mail recieving client recognize it as the Text mail only...

and in text mail no HTML tag works..
