As time increases a number decreases

What I want is for when date("i"); is odd, make $num subtract 1. Now $num starts at 100. And when it subtracts 1, i want it to stay their until the date is odd again, then i want it to subtract 1 again. Any ideas on how i can do this, if i make any sense.

Use a for loop, subtracting 1 each time. Use the modulus operator with 2 to see if there's a remainder. If there is, then the number must be odd.
