[Resolved] Image Upload Compression

I used a php file upload.php to allow member's to upload files into the /images directory where their files are stored.

Anyone know how i can compress these file's when they upload them before php places them into the /images dir?

Any reasonable image format (e.g., JPEG, PNG, even GIF) would already be compressed; compressing it further would only slow things down, not make the file significantly smaller.

i dont think there's an easy way of doing this, and even so im quite sure this has nothing to do with php, all action is between the browser and the http server.
Even if there WAS, this wouldnt be interesting for graphics because they are, as said, already very much compressed..
