Hi!
I was wondering if any of you have experience with this.
I'd like to create and maintain an intranet database, for circa 12 users. I considered using Access, but PHP/MySQL seems a better choice: not only is it more robust and secure than Access, but making interface pages with PHP is way easier than coding Access in VB. At least to me.
So, I am asking, is this unusual? PHP and MySQL are "traditionaly" heavy-duty platforms, and I will have to install Apache module as well, since the server in question will be Windows.
But, does it have to be a dedicated server? Since there are so few users and virtually no overload. Can the "server" be one of the computers in the intranet, on which other work is performed?
Thank you very much in advance
