Preserving line breaks etc.

I'd like to save a simple bit of web content in a table using a LONGTEXT field.

Of course, I'd like to put line breaks and HTML tags within the content.

I've seen this spoken about but can't find what I'm after just now.

HTML tags will remain - though you will have to be wary of malicious code injection.

For newline sequences, consider [man]nl2br/man.

I'm going to create a form for the content-editor so she can enter her own homepage information to be save. I'm assuming that line breaks will be preserved when saved. I'll come back if I have trouble.
