I am creating (or trying to create) this site for a friend of mine.

On this page where i was hoping to change it so that instead of it displaying long description i wanted to make the product title a link that opens up a new javascript window that goes onto display the long desrciption for that particluar product

If you dont know what i mean this is what i am trying to do. if you click on 'more info' on this page below you will see a javascript window open: This is exactly what im trying to do.

As i know nothing about javascript i was hoping somebody could tell me what specifically what i should be reading up on.

thanks for the reply.

the field in phpmy admin is name so presumably i have to change:
=<?php echo $prod_id; ?> to
=<?php echo $name; ?>

also the image_button.gif i assume is the image the site im copying is using. i was wanting to make the $name into the link so will that affect the code you have suggested for me.

i wont ask about the $_GET ou suggested cos i wil come onto that when i get the above bit sorted first.

i have have made some progress in getting what i want -

however when you click the link it is a warning message that comes up - how do you change that to be more like the pop-up you see when click more info on this page
