[Resolved] late modification of headers.

Hi.

so im creating this site. and i create a medium ammount of it, and test it on xampp (an apache based webserver) on my own machine. it all works tickety boo. i upload it o my server (linux server runing apache) and all of a sudden it insists when i use "header("Location: logged_in.php");" that it is too late because the headers have already been sent.

Im thinking this might be something to do with a setting in php.ini. any ideas?

Your testing server might have output buffering on by default. You can use "ob_start()" and "ob_end_flush" to avoid the problem on the other server.

I could, but I'd just be repeating the manual. 🙂 Essentially, you'd just put "ob_start()" at the very top of your script (before any html, or even so much as a blank line), and "ob_end_flush()" at the very end. Give it a try, it's easy. (Example 1 on that manual page pretty much sums it up.)
