Sending mail through SMTP on local

Hi,

I am using this script

$from="";
$headers="";
$message="";

				$email  = "[e-mail]".", " ; // note the comma

				$from="[e-mail]";
				$headers = "From: " . $from . "\n" . "Return-Path: " . $from . "\n" . "Reply-To: " . $from . "\n";
				$message="IP Address " .
				"\n" .$ip;
				mail($email,"IP Address",$message,$headers); 

this script run okey from any web server but i want to send this mail on my local host i configure SMTP mal server here but it not work on thing here my system is working under a firwal so then what new setting for SMTP mail server i required to send mail.
