A couple questions...

#1: Does a page's suffix have to be .php in order for it to be evaluated for PHP? I have some website pages I'd like to add PHP code to, but I don't want to break the off-site links to them by changing them from .htm to .php.

#2: In a .php page, how is text outside of <?php ?> tags evaluated? Is it seen as HTML?

Hi..

You can have ANY page extension, AS LONG as your server is set to run it through the PhP compiler (This is a server setting, and reuires you ro hava acces to them, or be nice to the server manager)

Text outside the <? ?> tags is not interpreted, and left alone. This would normally show up in your webspage.
