[Resolved] Search trough a string for 'www.' and create a Hyperlink of it

Hi all,

I have a textfile which were put into a string. Now i'm trying to search through the string for 'www.'

As soon as 'www.' is recognized a link should be created of it.
I also have no idea how to look for a space when the link is over so the rest of the textfile should be displayed as none Link.

here is the code:

My string is $output

if (eregi('www.',$output))
{
print "Hyperling recognized. A link will created of it"
}

Can anyone help me ?

instead of ereg("www.")...I'm guessing you're going to have to use a more complex regular expression...I suck at them, but I'm sure there are plenty of good examples out there on how to sniff out hyperlinks using regex....
