[Resolved] sorting an alphanumeric field

Hi,

im pulling out 3 columns from a database and the results look something like this

Code Name Animal
1 Ben Dog
1a Sue Cat
11 Bob Fish
4 Joe Cat
1c Jack Dog

Code is Varchar field and this is the field i need to sort by ie

1
1a
1c
4
11

What is the best way for me to sort this? I was going to try load it into an array and sort it this way, is the best way or is there a better solution.
